Tiny Tents is Born
In early 2020 my husband and I traveled to the Czech Republic to visit family. A close relative was playing on a Czech basketball team. One of his teammates was having a party set up for his daughter, tents. This was fascinating to me; I had never heard of such a thing in the States. Day two of our trip my husband was not feeling well, high fever, body aches and any other flu-like symptoms you could think of. You guessed it, he had what we now call Covid-19, but at the time it was not on Americans radar. We only know it was Covid-19 because when we went home I lost all smell and taste (which wasn’t a symptom yet). Italy was shutting down, airports were closing, at this point we didn’t know if we would get home. We made it home.
Fast forward a year. After a year of lock down my daughter was craving to see her friends. That is when I thought of these tiny tent parties in the Czech. Genius. Kids will be semi separated while sleeping and have their own little area. We had a mini sleep over with a couple of her close friends. I bought a sewing machine and made a couple tents. Tiny Tents were born.
